Ford Focus C-Max (2010): the new spy photos

Ford’s first engineering prototypes for the next-generation Focus family have hit the road. This is a mule for the new C-Max snapped outside the Nurburgring in Germany.

The C-Max will be the first of the new breed of Focus models; we should see it in 2010, ahead of the hatchback’s debut later next year. So the recent Focus facelift will have to keep the range soldiering on until the newcomer arrives in the next two years.

Canoe boat

A canoe is a relatively small boat, typically human-powered, but also commonly sailed. Canoes are pointed at both ends and usually open on top. For the activity of using a canoe in sport or for recreation, see canoeing.

In its human-powered form, the canoe is propelled by the use of paddles, with the number of paddlers depending on the size of canoe. Paddlers face in the direction of travel, either seated on supports in the hull, or kneeling directly upon the hull. In this way paddling a canoe can be contrasted with rowing, where the rowers face away from the direction of travel. Paddles may be single-bladed or double-bladed.

Sailing Canoes (see Canoe Sailing) are propelled by means of a variety of sailing rigs. Common classes of modern sailing canoes include the 5m² and the International 10m² Sailing canoes. The latter is otherwise known as the International Canoe, and is one of the fastest and oldest competitively sailed boat classes in the western world.

Ambiguity over the word Canoe
Confusingly, the sport of canoeing, organised at the international level by the International Canoe Federation, uses the word canoe to cover both canoes as defined here, and kayaks (see below for a brief description of the differences between a kayak and a canoe). In fact, the sport of canoe polo is exclusively played in kayaks. This confusing use of canoe to generically cover both canoes and kayaks is not so common in North American usage, but is common in Britain, Australia and presumably many parts of the world, both in sporting jargon and in colloquial speech. In these circumstances, the canoe as defined here is sometimes referred to as an open, Canadian, or Indian canoe, though these terms have their own ambiguities.

Tugboat

A tugboat, or tug, is a ship used to manoeuvre, primarily by towing or pushing other vessels (see shipping) in harbours, over the open sea or through rivers and canals. They are also used to tow barges, disabled ships, or other equipment.

Tugboats are quite strong for their size. Early tugboats had steam engines; today diesel engines are used. Tugboat engines typically produce 750 to 3000 horsepower (500 to 2000 kW), but larger boats (used in deep waters) can have power ratings up to 25 000 hp (20 000 kW). The engines are often the same as those used in railroad engines, but typically drive the propellor mechanically instead of converting the engine output to power electric motors, as is common for railroad engines. For safety, tugboats engines feature two of each critical part for redundancy.

Tugboats are highly manoeuvrable due to their propulsion units. Instead of a normal propeller, often the so called Schottel propulsion system (azimuth thruster) or the Voith-Schneider propulsion system are used on tugboats designed for tasks such as ship docking and marine construction. Conventional propeller/rudder configurations are more efficient for port-to-port towing. Thrust is sometimes enhanced by the installation of Kort nozzles.

The Kort nozzle is a sturdy cylindrical structure around a special propeller having minimum clearance between the propeller blades and the inner wall of the Kort nozzle. The thrust:power ratio is enhanced because the water approaches the propeller in a linear configuration and exits the nozzle the same way.

A revolutionary new type of tugboat has been invented in the Netherlands. The so-called carrousel tug comprises of a design wherein the flexibility and effectiveness of the tugboat's manoeuvres is determined not by the propulsion system, but by a steel construction on deck, consisting of two steel rings. The inner ring is fixed to the ship, and the second ring rotates freely and carries a hook or winch. The ship cannot only manoeuvre now 360 degrees independent from the seegoing ship, but due to the fact that the towing point rotates towards the point nearest to the seagoing ship (the towline force always stays over the ship's center of Gravity), the tug cannot capsize anymore. This is considered to be the safest tugboat at the moment. Only one prototype exists, but the first new builds are expected to sail in 2006.

Types of tugboat

Tugboats placing the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) into port.Seagoing tugboats are in three basic categories:

1- The standard seagoing tugboat with model bow that tows its "payload" on a hawser (long steel or soft fiber rope).

2- The "notch tug" which can be secured in a notch at the stern of a specially designed barge, effectively making the combination a ship. This configuration, however, is dangerous to use with a barge which is "in ballast" (no cargo) or in a head or following sea. Therefore, the "notch tugs" are usually built with a towing winch for use under such conditions, thereby entering the first category under certain conditions.

Barge boat

A barge is a flat-bottomed boat, built mainly for river and canal transport of heavy goods. Most barges are not self-propelled and need to be moved by tugboats towing or towboats pushing them. Barges on canals (towed by draft animals on an adjacent towpath) contended with the railway in the early industrial revolution but were outcompeted in the carriage of high value items due to the higher speed, falling costs, and route flexibility of rail transport. Barges are still used today for low value bulk items, as the cost of hauling goods by barge is very low. Barges are also used for very heavy or bulky items; a typical barge measures 195 feet by 35 feet, and can carry up to 1500 tons of cargo.

Self propelled barges may be used as such when traveling downstream or upstream in placid waters and operated as an unpowered barge with the assistance of a tugboat when traveling upstream in faster waters.

Poles are used on barges to fend off the barge as it nears other vessels or a wharf, often called pike poles, and on shallow canals for example in the UK long punt poles are used to manoeuvre or propel the barge. These long poles have given rise to the saying, "I wouldn't touch that (subject/thing) with a barge pole." The meaning is that something is so unseemly or contentious that the person wants to avoid it or being associated with it at all costs. A common variation is to say, "I wouldn't touch that with a (insert length) barge pole." Typically the length for small avoidance is "ten foot": The greater the length, the more the sayer feels it is to be avoided, but the expression "I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole" is by now the most common one by far.[citation needed]

Etymology
Barge is attested from 1300, from Old French barge, from Vulgar Latin barga. The word originally could refer to any small boat, the modern meaning arose around 1480. Bark "small ship" is attested from 1420, from Old French barque, from Vulgar Latin barca (400 AD). The more precise meaning "three-masted ship" arose in the 17th century, and often takes the French spelling for disambiguation.

Both are probably derived from a Latin *barica, from Greek baris "Egyptian boat", ultimately from m Coptic bari "small boat."

Home Decorations

A doll is a model of a human, a humanoid, an animal or a fictional character (like a Troll or a Smurf), usually made of cloth or plastic. Sometimes, intended as keepsakes or collections for older children and adults, it could be made in wood, porcelain, bisque, celluloid or wax. Some dolls are intended as toys for children, usually girls, to play with. Others are for decoration or have some cultural significance, possibly for use in some ceremony or ritual, or as a physical representation of a deity. It is mainly used for home decorations. Archaeological evidence places dolls as foremost candidate for oldest known toy, having been found in Egyptian tombs, which date to as early as 2000 BC.

The model is often a miniature, but a baby doll may be of true size. A large model of hard material is called a statue. A doll or animal model of soft material is also called a plush toy or plushier.

Water -Filters

Filters are the devices that help to remove impurities from water by means of a physical separators or chemical instruments. Filters cleanse water for irrigation, drinking water, aquariums and swimming pools. They can also be bought in the shops for domestic purpose. Two major brands are PUR and Brita. These filters take away the impure contents from the water. The presence of such impure contents may cause diseases like cancer, jaundice etc and things that taste or smell bad. The composition of filters is based solely on sieving, ion exchanges and other processes.

Types of Water Filters

UV Filters:

UV Filters have the ability of killing the majority of bacteria and viruses present in the water and one, which passes through them. Chemical pollutants will not be removed from the water with UV filters. The treatment is not efficient beyond the area of treatment, so water should be used as immediate as possible after it is treated.

Sand Filters:

Sand based water filters are generally used for more than hundred years for wastewater treatment. These filters are used on a larger scale to treat a water supply for a whole community, and they are custom made. Normally any apparatus needs a constant flow of water to work properly, and hence they cannot be used for well water treatment. Recently a Canadian scientist, David Manz developed an intermittent unit. You can buy pre-built units for domestic use, which are generally used in swimming pool pumps.

Charcoal Water Filters

These are generally from coconut husk as a filter medium. This generally takes in impurities as the water passes through. This form of filter comprises possibly 95% of those in use domestically, because they are very easy to install, they are comparatively cheaper, and filter out the dreadful contaminants, Cryptosporidium and Giardia. An average charcoal filter will last a family 6-9 months. They   are also enhanced by the use of activated silver, which provides extra antibacterial power of filtering. Minerals in solution can still enrich a charcoal filter. Such Minerals improvise health.

Reverse Osmosis Water Filters

They make use of a semi-permeable membrane to filter through osmotic process. They take all the impurities out of the water, leaving it pure that is stated. Usually installed under-sink, it needs a person   to come every few months to install a new membrane.

Debt consolidation

Debt consolidation is the process by which a consumer exchanges one loan for another taking various factors in to consideration. Factors such as reduction of average interest rate, reduced to one credit payment from multiple creditors, reduction of past interest or penalty charges, obtaining a payment plan as per the capability of an individual and becoming debt free individual at a faster rate.

Advantages
1. Reduction of average interest rate:
Taking multiple credit interest rate (which varies from one credit card to another) in to account will have a high interest when compared to one single credit interest for the whole amount with a low interest rate. So an individual may choose this option to reduce his interest rate.
2. Reduction to one credit payment:
An individual may use many credit cards and pay his bills for all the credit cards. This may need a good management technique depending up on the number of cards in use. If you use more number of credit cards then the planning need to be done more appropriately and executed timely where as if you have one credit card your job is done in a way simple and easily executable. One hence opts to shift from multiple loan payments to one loan payment program replacing all the rest.
3. Reduction of past interest or penalty charges:
One opting for   may go for reduction of past interest or penalty charges paid for the borrowed amount under certain options. Options include high interest rate or penalty charges placed for the credited amount, when the total amount paid in the history till date exceeds the borrowed amount, or if it is a very long duration payment program going for 5 yrs or above. Under each case stated one can reduce the past interest and penalty charges or sometimes even eliminate those and pay only the amount borrowed.
4. Obtaining a payment plan:
This payment plan is given to the consumer  by thoroughly going through the personal needs of an individual, his responsibilities etc after which the debt consolidator restructures the existing plans taken by the consumer.
5. Becoming debt free at a faster rate:
Taking debt consolidation program relieves a person from debts at a faster rate than the usual time, which is required to come out of the debt. Following the plans given by a debt consolidator and proper execution of the plan will surely make an individual debt free and obtain high credit scores.

Disadvantages
1. When applying for a loan to replace another you go under the secured loan payment plan placed against an asset such as a home, car or any belongings. Hence at a risk of closing the loan through the asset placed against the loan.

2. You tend to use your credit cards again since you had paid back the credit amount through another loan. Hence the usage of credit cards ads up to your debts ending

Factors deciding credit score

Credit score is a value assigned to the borrower depending up on various historical payment returns and current credit worth limit. The credit score is hence a value which is obtained up on calculating the statistical summary of a consumer credit report on various factors of Payment history, debt, Credit history length and the type and number of credit account existing. This is a value range between 200 and 800. The higher the credit score, the consumer is offered with best price for the products he purchases or any loan issued for him (for example in obtaining a

Basically the  calculated using a formula provided by the Fair Isaac Corporation under the act of FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act ). The three national bureaucrats dealing with credit reports are Equifax, Experian and Trans Union. The credit report can vary between these three credit bureaus since the credit reporters do not submit the reports in all three bureaus. Basically it is the procedure that one's credit report is the average taken from the values of these three bureaus. There may be a small difference existing between these bureaucracies credit reports which doesn't seem to harm any of the customers credit score hence no issue has arisen till now in regards to the above.

further information click the link before)are as follows.

1. Payment history
This factor conquers of about 35% in your credit score. As the name suggests it is calculated on whether you have paid the payment returns on time, there has been any occurrence of bankruptcy reflected in your credit report or any other negative aspects directly influences the value of credit score.

2. Amount owned
30% of credit score is based up on the factor of how much is the amount owned by the consumer, the amount of debt already taken, is the amount very close to the credit limit etc. So it always better to maintain a low balance in all the credit cards rather than a high balance in one and a low balance in all others.

3. Length of the credit history
The length of credit history plays a part of about 15% in determining one's credit score. A longer payment history increase the credit score of a consumer because the account opened for a longer duration creates appositive impact (higher effect if there exists only one financial institution). The score also increases at times of short credit history only when the rest of the consumer's credit report (from other financial companies) shows a manageable credit history existing through them.

4. Going for a new debt
Approximately 10% of a credit score may be based upon how much a consumer is going in for a new debt. A negative impact can also occur if a consumer is going for a number of new credit accounts apart from the existing one. He could rather choose the same account for further inquires of debts.

5. Types and number of credit accounts
10% of credit score is affected by the type of credit a customer takes. The credit score goes in for a negative impact when the consumer takes loans from finance companies. Its always advisable for a consumer to limit his accounts as too many credit reports for various accounts also create a negative impact.

You can also desire the amount of the "deductible" you must pay before the plan pays anything. After the deductible is met, a percentage of all your set cost is usually covered. The inequality between the percentages the plan pays and the amount charged is the "co-amount" that you must pay. The policy or employer benefit booklet resolve spell out the terms and conditions of what is enclosed and what in not covered. Read this contract BEFORE you need to use the plan and ask your agent or employer to give details anything which is unsure to you.
